This book is my heartfelt new paperback photo journal book capturing the lives of street dogs in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Through poignant imagery, I aim to shed light on the realities faced by these resilient animals. Inspired by my own rescue dog, whose journey is chronicled in my book Rescued-A Dog’s Tale, I invite you to join me in exploring the streets and stories of these incredible beings.
Dogs of the Lake, a deeply personal photo journal, brings attention to the lives of street dogs in the picturesque region of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. The meaningful imagery in this book offers a rare glimpse into the challenges these resilient animals face daily. The photographs not only highlight their struggles but also capture their spirit and strength, providing a powerful visual narrative of survival. It serves as a tribute to all the street dogs around the world, whose lives often go unnoticed.
By sharing their stories through my lens, I hope to raise awareness and encourage compassion toward these often-forgotten animals.
This book is a call to action for all of us to consider the ways we can make a difference in the lives of rescue animals, both near and far. Through this collection, I hope to inspire others to lend a hand, whether through adoption, support for local animal organizations, or simply a change in perspective toward stray animals.
